Company Information

Leo Samuel, an immigrant from Germany, established the Oregon Life Insurance Company in 1906. The company was renamed Standard Insurance Company in 1946. Operating under the brand name The Standard, it provides group and individual insurance products such as short-term and long-term disability coverage, life and accident insurance, group dental and vision benefits, and annuities. Since 1928, Standard Insurance Company has consistently received an "A" rating or higher from A.M. Best Company.
